The common terms for the Teen Patti game are:
Boot
It is known to be the entry fee and it is a minimum amount put on the board to make a start to the game.
Post
It means the entry fees required to join the game after all the players have come up with their boot amount.
Blind Player
The player who wagers without even seeing his cards in the game. He can only bet twice the blind bet.
Seen Player
The player who wagers after seeing his cards in the game. He can wager a minimum of twice the blind and a maximum of four times the blind bet.
Stake Amount
The bet that a blind player makes for the other players. It has to be reduced by half for the other player if the seen player comes up with the bet.
Call & Raise
Call means when a player matches the bet of the player before him. And, raise means when you increase the bet which has been placed by the player before you.
Sideshow & Compromise
Sideshow is when a seen player wants to compare the cards with the player on the right. The player needs to come with equal to or twice the stake amount to have a comparison. But, the other player can also reject the request and that is said to be a compromise.
Show
It means when all but two players fold their cards, every player compares their hands and one with the bigger hand wins the game.
Fixed Limit
It means that there would be a maximum betting amount and it would be equal to the last amount that has been wagered.
Spread Limit
The players can raise the stakes to any limit within a range that should not be exceeded in the game.
No Limit
There is no limit for a player to call or raise to any amount in the game, go till wherever you want!
Pot Limit
It means that players can call or raise any amount until the pot limit is reached. Then, there would be an automatic showdown that will occur. The hands would be compared and one with the higher would win the pot money.
